Shutters are all priced per square metre. Our cheapest shutters are currently £305 per square metre including fitting and VAT (Excluding Chinese freight charges). Our British Shutters are £370 per square metre inc Fitting and VAT.
There are several factors that can affect price including hidden tilt operation, custom colour or special shape shutters. A survey is the best way to determine an accurate price so we can factor in all the options and/or special fitting requirements.
Although shutters are generally very good for bedrooms, they are not perfect blackout like most blinds. There are light gaps between the louvres and around the frame. A solution may be to have a blind mounted behind the shutter to reduce the light coming through. This then would provide a near blackout shutter.
Once and order has been placed and deposit paid, we may need to confirm your sizes. Once all the information is collected, we will then process the order with the factory. Currently our British Shutters have a lead time of approximately 3-5 Weeks and our Hardwood Shutters have a lead time of approximately 14-18 weeks. We can reduce this lead time down to 8-12 weeks by adding the train freight surcharge. (All lead times are subject to change at any time)

The best way to keep your shutters clean is to use a feather duster. Regularly dusting will help keep your shutters looking as good as new. You can also use a light damp cloth to remove any marks and a very mild detergent may also be used from time to time.
All our Shutters come with a 5 Year Warranty. This tends to cover Fading, rotting, warping and peeling to name a few. (In normal environments)
Our British Made Shutters are the perfect Shutter to go in your Bathroom. As these are made with Wood and Plastic, this makes them 100% water resistant. The material in our British made Shutters is usually found in Composite Decking, and Yacht Flooring. Both are designed to get wet.
Our Shutters are different to most other UK made shutters in several ways. Firstly, we use a material called WPC (Wood Plastic Composite). Our factory is the only one that makes this. We opted to use this because its looks and feels like wood, but is more robust and water resistant.
We also use the rack and pinion tilting mechanism (Internal Tilt) as standard. No other UK manufacturer does this as standard.
We can spray paint all our Shutter ranges including British made in most colours. We offer a colour match service to most paint brands including Farrow and Ball, Dulux and Little Greene, or can paint to any RAL colour. There is a surcharge for this service and is priced per colour.
Yes, all our ranges are suitable for bay window. Whether it’s a square bay or angled bay, a shutter is suitable. Please request a survey for a quote.
Yes, Shutters can be fitted onto Patio Doors in 2 ways. The most common way is to use a top Hung Track System which supports the doors along a top and bottom track. This way the panels are easy to operate and won’t drop. A less common way is to mount the shutters to the door with cut outs for the handles. The cut outs are only available on our Hardwood Shutters.
Poplar wood is a sustainable hardwood with a grained texture and delivers an excellent result when painted. Poplar is a much denser, harder wood which is light and durable, yet less susceptible to damage and warping. Poplar wood is a great choice for shutters as it is a higher grade timber, meaning less defects and knots in the timber.
All rooms except bathrooms (Humid Environments) perfect for large windows.
